Hidden Hedge

Hidden Hedge is a collection of ferns and bushes above ground just outside the cavern entrance. It is where the mentors and apprentices to to train. Also, it's a great place for hunting.

Batwing trotted at a slow pace to the hedge. He then crouched down in attack position. Batwing narrowed his eyes. Then shot out at a tree,flipped back,and landed back on his feet. He then turned to the clearing. Bat then growled at an invisible enemy. He dashed around him,then swung a foot under himm,and tripped him down. He then shot out and took his a bite of his invisible scruff,and thrust it at a tree. He stood defiantly. Then grinned and got in attack position again. The breeze blowing through his dark fur.

Batwing growled. He grinned and then rolled his shoulders. He then dashed around the clearing. Kicking up a dust trail. He slid right and left,then started up again. He looked like a blur in the dust. Batwing then leapt up,his claws sheathed,and sank his claws on the tree. His body was off the ground,and he gripped the bark tightly to keep from falling off the tree. He flicked his tail,then leapt off of the tree.
He slid to the ground,then sighed. He then grinned and turned to camp. His carving for dashing around,satisfied.

Thunderstrike

Thunderstrike padded into the hedge and looked about. His large black nose, inhaled the air deeply, taking in any avaiable scent. Rabbits, squirrels, and a group of deer. The male perked up, it always felt good to choose the right place to hunt at. He wagged his tail and calmly waited for his comrades to arrive.

Batwing skidded to a stop beside his comrade. He glanced around warily. "I feel like going after something big." He turned to Thunderstrike "What do you think?"

Blackwidow arrived and went to sit down by Thunderstrike. " I smell deer, how about that." " I could use a good chase." She said licking her pretty red fur. " how bout it you guys?" She always got along better with map wolves than she did ith females.

Batwing shrugged. "Wouldn't hurt to do it." He shoved Thunderstrike slightly. "Hey deputy,do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?" He shook his head. "You joining in or not?"

Thunderstrike

Thunderstrike was already planning on how to get to the deer and get the one they could get without ever hurting the population. His nose twitched with excitement as in his head, he mapped out what they could do and what he saw as the best outcome. The male was used to giving directions but he wanted to do it right, and the right way he would try to perform. He barely heard their words before he turned to Blackwidow and Batwing. "If I may be correct, four deer compose the herd, each with a small fawn by their side. You can hear them playing on this side." The male pointed to the left with his tail. "The deer are located in the middle of the clearing with two large bucks on the outer right edge. Inhale deeply, one is injured, probably the last leader of the group. I suppose we could go for him. Blackwidow, could come up from behind. Her small figure will help with stealth as she approaches. Batwing and I can be on the outer edges, waiting to spring at him from the sides when he runs from Black. "Thunder turned to the two wolves, and wagged his tail. "What do you think?"

Batwing blinked. "Wow you really gave this a lot of thought." His tail twitched. He stood up and grinned. "Well,I'm up for it."

Thunderstrike

Thunderstrike smiled as Batwing agreed. If there was one thing Thunder hoped for it was support from the males of the clan. Yes he could be slightly off, but the male wished for their support feeling like there wouldn't be much action if they didn't. "Excellent!And you Blackwidow?" He turned to the female and cocked his head, one of his large ears flopping lazily to the side.

Batwing nodded. He then turned to the herd. "I'll get in position." He then bolted off into the hedges.

Blackwidow listened to the new deputy's plan. "well Thunderstrike, it seems that Spangledstar made a wise choice when he picked you to be deputy. Then when Batwing said he was getting into position she nodded to him. "alright Thunderstrike, Batwing, lets hunt some deer." She crouched low and then silently rushed forward, the deer heard her anyways and ran towards where Thunderstrike and Batwing were, she gave chase.

Thunderstrike

Thunderstrike smiled, his tail wagging with great enthusiasm. He got into place on the other side. It wasn't hard for him to hide his large bulk he had trained and though he wasn't perfect at hiding because of his intimidating size he could hide. His back leg muscles bunched up, his eyes narrowed. Two bull deer, two. The one closest to Batwing was their target. The deer rushed out, the uninjured one rushing past, while the hurt one limped forward. Thunder smiled, the other two knew what to do, he didn't have to tell them everything. Rushing out, the male barreled forward and stood to the deers left, growling threatningly. Panicking from the two wolves it headed straight for Batwing, Thunder close behind as he snapped at its back legs.

Batwing nodded to Thunderstrike as he leap out of the hedges. He grinned as he headed towards the old deer. It bellowed as he slammed head first into its chest. He heard a snap of its own bones. He then turned and swiped upwards with his claws. Flesh meeting his claws,its throat was ripped out and it toppled over him. He felt the warm pelt of the elk on his back. He then crawled out from under it and sighed. He struggled up. "Seems like a little too brutal for that approach." He shook his pelt which was splattered with the deer's blood. The other deer were marching away. Stumbling though the trees. "We're done here." He sat down and slumped forward. Hs head hurt a little,but he was tired from running.

Blackwidow felt a little tired from her chase but was also fascinated by Thunderstrike. ' he is strong, caring, and a great fighter.' She thought to herself remembering her spar with him.'he would make a great mate.' She mumbled to herself. She blushed and shook her head, embarrassed to be thinking this way. She hoped Batwing didn't see that. She followed the large brute back to camp.
